I was born and raised on a mixed grain farm in NE Saskatchewan, the oldest of 2 children. As soon as I could see over the steering wheel and reach the pedals my grandpa and dad had me helping out wherever I could. I graduated from high school in Ridgedale and moved away to Regina not knowing what I wanted to do in life, thinking only that I wanted off the farm. It didn’t last and I was home every weekend and was missing the farm so much. It was then I decided that I wanted to take agriculture at the U of S. After graduation I moved to Alberta with my family and worked for an oilfield company doing environmental inspections on suspended oil leases. When that contract was up I was able to get into the agriculture industry working at the crop diversification center in Brooks AB doing research on potatoes. When my grandpa passed away in 2004 I decided to move with my family back to the family farm and farm with my dad until he retired after the 2015 harvest. While farming, I worked a couple different jobs in the ag industry in the role of a sales agronomist before I eventually went on to practicing on my own as an independent agronomy consultant. I have always loved being actively involved in the farm and out walking the fields. I currently live in Melfort with my 3 children and consult throughout the north east.
