Melanie Leppa

Melanie grew up on a grain and cattle farm near Swift Current, Sask. She attended University of Saskatchewan and obtained her BSc in Agriculture majoring in Soil Science in 1995. Melanie has worked for Westco/Sask Wheat Pool/Viterra as a Manager of Agronomic Services as well as for a local independent retailer. She started her independent consulting business Soils and Such Agronomy Ltd in 2013. She provides her customers with soil sampling, crop planning, record keeping, fertility recommendations and crop scouting. Melanie and her husband Scott reside on her great-grandparents homestead along with their 4 children. When not busy in the field she can be found helping out with activities at the local school or helping kids become leaders for tomorrow in her local 4H club.
